moving to wordpress

Just letting you know that I have moved my blog to wordpress here's the link www.diannasullivan.wordpress.com. Hope that works.

Beach performance

The last few days I have forgone the treadmill in favour of a walk at the beach with Dannielle, last night we decide to take Cleo after watching the antics of excited happy dogs.
On the way home Dannielle declares she will not take Cleo to the beach again and that I am a worrier like her Nan.
Cleo of course would be happy to go again she made lots of new friends, discovered rotten fish and had her first swim.
Luke states you know you shouldn't have her off her lead at the beach.
So this morning I don my exercise gear and pull the treadmill back out.
With regards to my last post about said teen function I figure that its better at my house where I can moniter it doesn't mean that its sitting comfortably for me. Mother says its pay back.

Christmas update.

Just for Andrea I update my blog as she enquires about what we all got for christmas.
Emerald earings from Glenn, candles holders complete with little candles(from presentables in town my favourite giftware shop and conviently located next to "the bean'), Delirous cd and wait for it a box of chocolates from Luke(how could he do that to me), an angel decoration from Arwen plus a wooden star that she made at kindy and Cleo destroyed in the space of 3 minutes.
Phew thats my list and only took 1/2 photos, find it really hard to take photos of occasions.
Had problems getting into blogger so thinking of changing blog home Karen I may need your help.
Hope everyone else had a great Christmas we are on the countdown to New years when we have the extreme joy of hosting a teenage get to gether. I am too young(yes Tash too young)for this.

Christmas occassions

Santa came calling at the Kindy Christmas party this year looking and sounding strangely like Arwens Dad!!!!LOL!!! And she didn't even realise.
Sunday Arwen had two important parts at Church, for her Sunday School Song she was Mary and later she joined in another play and was an angel. She was so cute the other girls wouldn't move(the stone angels)and clung to me but Arwen picked up a big pole with a star on it and walked across the stage to stand with the other adults and held the star up high until the end of the play. She is so confident.
Did a little bit of scrapping last night for the 12 days of Christmas which I enjoyed took ages to do little as usual. I've been good on the treadmill even went on twice on Friday learning to turn some of my stress eating into exercise instead. Dannielle comented that she didn't know how I could keep going on the treadmill but I am actually really enjoying it.
So that was our weekend.

A hive of activity.

a hive of activity but not much happening. My pool table is covered in 6 by 6 papers as I plan my 12 days of Christmas album but it seems to be standing still at the moment.
I feel like I have so many things to do each day but rarely achieve anything.
The only thing that does happen each day is 30/40 mins on the treadmill. Feel like I need some organisation.
Tonight I am off with my Bible study/coffee group with dessert and coffee at one of the local cafes find this hard with JC but figure that what with having such a social weekend I'm just not going to sweat it.
The shopping done 2 hours ago is still sitting on the floor, the vacum cleaner still sits in yesterdays position next to the ironing board and a clutter of home and garden mags opened at kitchen pages are spread across the bench, the question is how much will I clean up of this today?

Well Saturdays crop went well the ladies all enjoyed it and we had a lovely catered lunch from Robert Harris. I manged to fluff around for several hours, cut the basic grey paper for my Christmas Album into 6 by 6 instead of 8 by 8 so ended up doing none of that and sold the album to Delys. Was pleased today though as I went into Whitcouls and got the same metallic album in 6 by 6 so I can get started this week.
My Dad and his partner visited on Sunday from Whangarei its always a flying visit with him but that was really nice. Bit hard on the JC side on things and I just had some pav for desset anyway but only a half piece and yummy roast lamb.
One thing I do find hard about living here is the whole Christmas thing away from family it doesn't quite feel the same.
Feeling abit short tempered about the kitchen getting sick of the mess and the fact that it will be a few months of this living out of boxes, think it may be a good topic for the November SO challenge of things that make you go hmmmm.
Well better hit the sack Dannielle is going to Auckland tomorrow and has to be at school at 6.00am she's going to Rainbows end for the day and will be home tomorrow at 8.00pm.

Just a quick update on the insurance. Not good they will only pay $1500.00 for the kitchen as they view it as gradual damage we are basically needing to replace half of our kitchen and part of the floor under the shelving units as it has just rotted through which means maybe new lino as well which we had just had in about 4 years ago. Thinking if we need half a kitchen maybe we should just get a whole.
Downstairs they will pay for the repairs to the spa room ceiling which should come to about $1000.00 but they won't pay for the hole the builder and plumber had to make to fix the split pipe.
Gutted thats all I can say.
TRying to see the positive that tomorrow is our crop with a yummy lunch and I will spend all day scrapbooking working on my 12 days of christmas album.

Shocking Day

For about half an hour today I thought Glenn had been involved in a serious accident and completely lost it. A client had left a message that she was worrried about him and could I call. Apparently there had been an accident I think on the Ohope Hill involving a red convertible like Glenns I had even seen the police cars and ambulance racing up there when I was out. Tried to phone him the phone was dead, ended up on the phone to the police for about 10 minutes trying to find out what had happened. During this time Dannielle arrived home and could hear what was going on and got really upset. Short story wasn't him but someone else in a red convertible.
It totally rocked me and took me a couple of hours to get over my heart was racing and I was so shakey. So awful and Glenn got such a good welcome when he walked in.
On the kitchen front today the builder took a skill saw to under the sink and discovered that the floor needs replacing totally soaked and rotting in one part and its look like we will need to replace a large part of our kitchen new bench top and cabinet so we are wondering if we should do the whole lot otherwise it will be mismatched. Still don't think insurance company will come to the party.
Tried to do some scrapping today but only spent about 15 minutes as the house was full of teengage boys so maybe tomorrow but its not looking good.
Never mind bad day but the sun was shining in Whakatane so heres hoping tomorrow is better.
